Who we are.

GALEXY is an international association of law firms from different countries and continents who recognize that the needs of the international business community are changing. International business is now done more and more by small and medium size companies and individuals rather than multinational conglomerates. With the change in participants in international trade, the legal landscape has changed as well. Gone are the days when only large law firms had the expertise and capacity to handle cross-border legal matters.

What we do.

GALEXY coordinates the activities of its members, and provides a forum for them to discuss international legal and business developments. It provides opportunities for its members to cooperate to the benefits of their clients. GALEXY firms promote each other in their respective jurisdictions and co-counsel clients with other members in a trusting environment. GALEXY offers its members access to cross-border marketing opportunities.

Countries represented.

International Law used to be a domain of large law firms. Nowadays however, smaller, more agile, and flexible midsized law firms provide excellent cross-border advice more efficiently and at lower cost to the client.

GALEXY was founded over 25 years ago, by like-minded lawyers from several European countries. The founding members agreed that in order to provide cross-border legal advice, a close and pre-existing personal relationship between the attorneys was essential. Unlike other legal associations of law firms, GALEXY places a priority on personal contacts between its members, through regular in-person meetings. This ensures a seamless cooperation between jurisdictions to the benefit of the client.

GALEXY member firms are focused on international business law, international estate planning and inheritance matters, cross border commercial litigation and international taxation.

GALEXY has expanded from its European roots to add members from Asia and the Americas. While GALEXY continues to add members to the association, there is a thorough selection process in place to ensure the exceptional competence of its members and the continuation of the special GALEXY spirit.
